摄理

  走在路上，不经心地错过多少花草，但偶尔驻足细看，却会惊奇於它们各其奥妙。

  世上万物，无一不精，无一不美，使人再再感受到造化孕育的爱心。

  近来我的作品，大都是以寻常易见的草木为题材。我的画笔，虽是粗拙地仿拟自然於画面上，

 但向往生命源泉之心，却是诚挚的。

 我认为好的作品，看起来应该是悦目的，而给人感觉更应该是欢愉的。因此我  一直想画幅好画。

 

 我的愿望是永远逍遥自在。

   Graduated from Department of Fine Art and Graduate School,

   Kongju National University

 Held 1st Solo Exhibition (Seoul in 1905)

 Held 2nd Solo Exhibition (Cheonahn in 1999)

 Held 3rd Solo Exhibition (New York in 2001)

 Held 4th Solo Exhibition (Seosan in 2008)

 Held 5th Solo Exhibition (Beijing in 2008)

 

 Participated in exhibitions at Cast Iron Gallery in New York and Beijing Art Museum as a member of The Union of Modern Artists in Korea and China

 Participated in International Fine Art Invitational Exhibitions    (Seosan Culture and Arts Center)

 Participated in Selected Artists' Invitational Exhibitions and displayed 150 works in various exhibitions

 Received Freeman Fellowship (Vermont Studio Center, U.S.A.)

Got an Excellence Award in Chungnam Provincial Art Contest and received many times in South Korea's Grand Art Festival, Jungahng Art Contest, and Teachers' Art Contest

 Been a judge, invitational artist, manager in Chungnam Grand Art Contest

Prologue

 

   Walking lonely along a path, and looking at nameless grass and I thought to myself they were incredibly mysterious. 

 Nothing existed on earth is beautiful and precious. I can't but feel divine love that created  and ruled every creature at his own will. Lately I've been working on the themes of flowers and trees we can see around us. Trees and stones are also my materials you can easily find through your eyes of love.

   A good work of art means to me that it's harmonious naturally in itself and we can feel comfortable and has its own beauty. I always want to make up good art of workpieces.

   Although my instinct for creation is small and humble of imitating, and now that I was born with life same with Nature, it is an ardent gesture driven from my soul for joining the origin of life.

   I want to be free now and forever. 

 

 

섭  리

정태궁

  길을 걸으며 무심히 지나치던 하찮은 풀 한 포기도 자세히 살펴보면 볼수록 참으로 신기하고 오묘하다. 이 세상에 존재하는 모든 생명은 아름답고 소중하지 않은 것이 없다. 그 자연의 엄연한 질서에서 천지만물을 지어내고 섭리하는 절대자의 무한한 사랑을 느끼곤 한다. 요즘 들어 내가 만드는 작품의 소재는 주로 꽃이나 나무 등 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 초목들이다.

  나의 창조 본능은 비록 볼품없고 초라한 모방에 지나지 않을지라도,자연과 다르지 않은 생명을 지니고 태어난 이상 그 생명의 원천에 합류되고픈 내 영혼의 간절한 몸짓이다. 

  

  좋은 작품은 보기에 자연스러워 편안하고, 멋이 있어 즐거움을 느낄 수 있어야 한다고 생각한다. 나는 늘 좋은 작품을 만들고 싶다.

  나는 영원히 자유롭고 싶다.
